RIP. The Hastings and Prince Edward Regiment has tragically lost a soldier

Good evening,

It is with heavy heart to announce that the Hastings and Prince Edward Regiment has tragically lost a soldier on 8 Sept 18.

Corporal (Cpl) Robert Estabrooks was born on the 6th of February, 1994 in Belleville Ontario, Canada to his Mother, Mrs Kelli Lynne Estabrooks and Father Victor Leslie Estabrooks. Robert also has a girlfriend “C.J.” Cowx and enjoyed spending time with his family, friends and girlfriend.

He graduated Centennial Secondary School in Belleville in 2008 with an academic diploma. Shortly thereafter on September 23rd, 2011, Robert joined the Hastings and Prince Edward Regiment. Cpl Estabrooks served on Op PROVISION (Support to Syrian Refugees) in Kingston for approximately 8 months in the winter of 2015 and he was promoted to the rank of Cpl on the 9th of April 2015.

Cpl Estabrooks earned a Criminology and Justice Degree from University of Ontario Institute of Technology (UOIT) in January 2018 and was pursuing employment in the Ontario Provincial Police and Toronto Police Service with the support of his girlfriend and family. He had an incredible sense of humour and approached all military endeavours with quiet professionalism. Cpl Estabrooks was a gentle soul and will always be remembered for his big smile and warm heart.

Cpl Estabrooks funeral timings as follows: -Visitation at the Weaver West Chapel (170 Dundas St, Trenton) 1800-2100 hrs Fri 14 Sep 18 – Visitation at the Weaver West Chapel (170 Dundas St, Trenton) and 1000-1100 hrs Sat 15 Sep. – Funeral to follow at 1100 hrs 15 Sept 18 at Weaver West Chapel (170 Dundas St, Trenton), Including transfer to the White Battalion. -Reception to follow at 413 Wing RCAFA (230 N Murray St, Trenton Ont K8V 6R8)

All of our Hastings and Prince Edward Regiment immediate and extended family are welcome.
